This three-part lecture series explored the myths and realities, perceptions and misconceptions, surrounding the environment vs. development debate, from the role of the media and the marketing of the environment in the developing world, to the importance of education in promoting a better understanding of role of the environment in social and economic development. The series is an initiative of Fordham University, an institution founded in the Jesuit tradition of pursuing open intellectual discourse for the betterment of our world, The Nature Conservancy, and the Equator Initiative program of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
