The latest in the Equator Initiative series of Community Dialogues, the Community Palli (8-17 October) brought together Equator Prize winners from eleven countries, positioning local advocacy and knowledge sharing within the larger policy dialogues on poverty reduction and biodiversity conservation at the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) COP 11, in Hyderabad, India.
The Equator Initiative convened a five-day dialogue during the IUCN Fifth World Conservation Congress Forum, in Jeju, Korea – the Community Ma-eul (7-11 September) featured a series of workshops led by partner organisations focusing on the human rights dimensions of conservation, and particularly those relevant to local and indigenous communities.
